My Visit With Steve @ World Wide Sax

Yesterday I dropped my old warrior 10M off with Steve Stransky, the owner of World Wide Sax. Steve is going to turn this current wall ornament, back into something that will once again be able to hold its own against the electric guitar work of Art Panchishin.

So it’s now been left in Steve’s capable hands for a vintage standard rebuild and a proper neck repair. The dents in the main body tube are coming out as well, and the bell needs to be pulled out, because it had been pushed back into the body tube at some point as well, and never properly fixed.
Steve’s really crazy busy, so his first opening on the workbench was October 28th. I’m looking forward to actually getting to play it though. For the first time since I got the horn, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. :smile:
After we were done with the business of my horn, I took a look at some of Steve’s private horn collection. It was amazing! Jim got some really great pictures of a few of Steve’s prized tenors…
I felt very comfortable at Steve’s shop yesterday. He made me feel at ease with both his knowledge and personality. His workmanship is world renown, so I know he will do a great job in getting my old 10M back on its feet.
