Hohner President

Horn Specs:

  • Made by Hohner Musikinstrumente in (West) Germany
  • The President was designed by Max Keilwerth (Julius & Richard Keilwerth’s brother)
  • Serial #: 104XX
  • Finish: Lacquer with nickel plated keys
  • I bought this minty horn from the orignal owner. It was a true closet horn. It was used for 2 years in high school, and then put in the closet where it sat since.

  • Second neck (bottom one in the photo) from my tech’s donor horn serial # 111XX, brightens this naturally dark-sounding horn considerably. It is like having 2 horns completely different saxophones.

  • The “angel wing” key guard was replaced by the original owner.
  • This was a 1 owner horn, which was bought in 1958.
