When I first saw this alto on eBay, I was surprised because it was the first, and to date only, 2 tone Hammerschmidt that I have come across. It is one of their later models, since it has the metal key guards. This sax has obviously had a hard life, as is evidenced by the obvious wear and dents. The other thing that is obvious is that the sax is missing one of its right palm keys. Specifically, it appears that the high E key is absent.
